Shopping for Millennials? Here’s A Little On-Trend Gift Guide of 16 Great Ideas

Are you a Millennial? Do you know a Millennial? Millennials are that much-maligned generation of people who are approximately in their twenties and thirties now. While I myself am not in that age range, I have worked with a ton of people who fit this description, and some of my adult kids could be described as Millennials.

From my experience, Millennials actually get a really bad rap. In fact, there are many things to love about this generation. They tend to be very idealistic and care a lot about their chosen causes. They are often resourceful and creative, and they are responsible for a resurgence of handcrafting among younger people. They are often diligent workers, doing difficult work and juggling family responsibilities. They often love the outdoors and are environmentally-conscious. I also find this generation to be very straightforward and authentic.

So, show the Millennials in your life a little love over the holidays or other gift-giving occasions with something special! I’m sharing some on-trend gifts here that are all available on Amazon.

Caboodles was the must-have item for tween girls of the 90s. This nostalgic brand has small organizer cases, such as this one, and larger train cases as well. A caboodle case would make a great presentation for other small gift items and is cute, nostalgic, and useful on its own.

Many Millennials are vinyl record enthusiasts, which is great that those old records are still getting some use. Find some old records that are still in good enough shape to be played, and give your Millennial the gift of a high quality turntable.

The Oregon Trail Game Pack

If you’re not a Millennial, you may not be aware that most of them spent many happy hours in public schools playing a low-tech educational video game entitled The Oregon Trail which had the kids doing things like dying of dysentery. Simple Fall Decor: One Art Glass Pumpkin, Five Great Looks

Are you looking for some super simple Fall decorating ideas? I love changing things up for each new season, and this amber art glass pumpkin is my go-to for an Autumn update. I bought it a couple of years ago, and I have found it to be extremely versatile because of its classic shape and warm, neutral color. It’s at home anywhere you want a little bit of seasonal cheer, from the dining room centerpiece to the entryway, this piece works with anything.

Here are a few ideas to take your basic autumn decorative accents and combine them with other elements to create a multitude of looks.

For an entry table display, I combined the art glass pumpkin with mini metallic pumpkins and a vintage red yellow amberina Jeanette “Louisa” pattern carnival glass pedestal bowl. The result is a bright, traditional foyer that unmistakably welcomes in the new season.

This bright, cheery Bohemian entry table combines the art glass pumpkin with dried flowers in vibrant gold, fuchsia, and cobalt and a pretty aqua blue Fenton bud vase.

This glass pumpkin combines well with white accessories. Here we used an oversized letter with a bird and flower motif as well as some fresh white blooms.

Combine the pumpkin with a light-up marquee arrow, a fun welcome sign, and a vintage-style birdcage votive candle holder for a fun retro look.

The amber color of the pumpkin glass looks fantastic with natural elements and textures. Natural twig orbs, polished river stone, leaded glass votives, and bird figurines complete the look.

Have a Beautiful Day And Get Creative with Decor!

Welcome to Seriously Comfy Sundays!

I do miss my old routine. I really, really do. For as long as I can remember, Sundays involved morning church followed by a meal with the extended family either at a restaurant or at home. Post-pandemic, Sundays consist of an on-line church service followed by more……you guessed it…….staying home.

I’m trying to embrace the good that comes with all of this at-home time, and I’m beginning to appreciate one of the perks that comes with being at home so much: comfy clothing!

Up until last March, my daily uniform involved dress pants, blouses, and pumps. And I didn’t mind it. I loved it. But I gotta say, I never had enough appreciation for just wearing comfy clothes. These days, if it does’t feel really good on, I’m just not going to wear it. In short, the pandemic has led me to peruse more of the cozy end of apparel lines more than I have in all the rest of my years.

This week I share some more of my cozy at home picks.

First, I’m highlighting some Splendid lounge pants. I have a pair of these, and they are, well, splendid :). Just a great pair of effortless, soft pants that look great on too.

Next, the classic chambray shirt from J Crew. I find myself reaching for J Crew apparel time and time again, because the brand is just consistently classic, well-made, and you will be getting a great value for your money. This chambray shirt goes with everything and acts as a second layer when the weather turns chilly.

The adorable hat by Jeff and Aimy is packable and lightweight, so you’ll be comfortable and shaded during your outdoor activities.

For comfy feet, try these colorblock sandals from Ecco. My feet are very picky when it comes to what’s comfortable, but Ecco shoes always make them happy.

This cute graphic tee, available on Amazon, is a comfy, casual option that reminds us to stay optimistic and compassionate.

I have a classic Andirondack chair in my yard, and I love it. Its timeless design will always look great wherever you put it, and they are extremely comfortable. I love this fun chair from Signature Design by Ashley in turquoise. What a beautiful color!

Nothing beats an ice cold drink while you’re relaxing outdoors or even just making sure you’re well-hydrated and healthy. This s’well stainless steel bottle in rose geode is both beautiful and practical.

Finally, this great collection of indoor-outdoor pillow covers in gorgeous hues of turquoise and coral pink gives your pillows a quick and easy makeover.

Enjoy your day and take time to Relax!
